Application steps
Choose the right Indian visa type
Identify the visa category that matches your travel purpose — e-Tourist, e-Business, e-Medical, or Conference. Most applications from Saudi Arabia residents can be submitted electronically via the official e-Visa portal.
Fill the e-Visa application
Open the India e-Visa portal, create an account, and complete the visa application form online. Upload your scanned passport and a recent digital photo.
Prepare the required documents
Prepare:
- Passport valid for at least 6 months.
- Recent digital photo with white background.
- Iqama copy (for residents).
- National ID for Saudi nationals (from Absher).
- Round-trip flight booking and hotel reservation.

Pay the visa fee electronically via credit card on the e-Visa portal at the end of the application.
Track and receive your e-Visa
The decision is usually issued within 3 to 7 business days. You will receive your e-visa by email — print it and carry it with you on entry to India.
For traditional visa types
For visa types not eligible for e-Visa (long-stay employment, student, etc.), submit your application at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh. Trip Away handles the appointment booking and follow-up.
